Holly Peel is a Partner at Pinder Commercial Chambers whose practice focuses on real estate, conveyancing, commercial and corporate law. She advises private clients, developers, lenders, investors and businesses on residential and commercial property transactions throughout The Bahamas.
Holly has extensive experience in traditional Bahamian conveyancing as well as complex and high-value real estate transactions. Her practice includes the acquisition and sale of private residences, luxury and resort properties, investment properties, undeveloped land and private islands. She has acted in significant property transactions in Western New Providence and throughout the Family Islands, including Spanish Wells, Eleuthera, Exuma and Abaco, and regularly represents both Bahamian and international clients investing in The Bahamas.
Her real estate experience also includes mortgage financing and secured lending, title due diligence and title opinions, subdivision and development-related property matters, and commercial and residential leasing. She advises clients throughout the life cycle of a transaction, from initial structuring and due diligence through negotiation, regulatory approvals and completion.
Holly’s corporate and commercial practice complements her real estate work and includes business formations and corporate structuring, particularly in connection with property ownership, investment and development in The Bahamas. Her approach combines detailed legal analysis with practical commercial judgment and an understanding of the considerations that arise when doing business and investing in The Bahamas.
Before entering the legal profession, Holly worked in banking with Lloyds TSB. She subsequently earned an MBA from the University of Miami and studied law at the University of Westminster in London. She was called to the Bar in 2007 and has practised in The Bahamas for nearly two decades. Holly also holds a Bahamian real estate licence, complementing her legal experience with an additional understanding of the local property market and the practical considerations involved in Bahamian real estate transactions.
Holly has a longstanding interest in marine conservation and responsible development in The Bahamas. She serves on the Board of the Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organisation (BMMRO) and believes that thoughtful development and environmental stewardship can work together to support the long-term interests of The Bahamas and its communities.
